Experts Group (EG) Meetings
The CE-DAT Expert Group is made up of selected experts who advise the CE-DAT team on the technical issues that it encounters in its daily activities. The members of the group are selected based on their personal expertise and experience in epidemiology, statistics and demography as applied to conflict settings.

About CRED
The Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters (CRED) has been active for over 30 years in the field of international disaster and conflict health studies, with research and training activities linking relief, rehabilitation and development. It promotes research, training, technical expertise on humanitarian emergencies, with a special focus on public health and epidemiology.
Geo-referencing methodology
To geo-reference CE-DAT data points, available ESRI shapefiles for the country are obtained from the ESRI ArcGIS v.9 Maps CD or downloaded from the US GIST or SALB online repositories down to the lowest non-place name administrative level.
Data entry
When a new survey is received from one of our partners in the field, the first step is to save the file on the CE-DAT server and to print the survey report.
Relevant data within each survey is then identified and entered into the database. Contextual information is also extracted from the survey.
